Life was one of my very first characters, ever. The entire concept of her was not as developed back at it’s conception, but I did know that I wanted Life and Death to be represented as very tangible people.

Before my book really saw much attention, I adopted her casual name as my own online alias, but in my mind it has always belonged more to her than it does to me. She is not me, she’s something I aspire to be.

Mizian

About the Character…

Mizian is an incarnation of Life, or in a less broad term, she channels all of the magic in the world through herself before it reaches anyone else. Magic is life, in my universe, it’s what makes your heart beat and your soul bound to your body.

Life has spent her entire life living with humans, who protect her from the rest of the world and other dragons. This also means she has no experience with the real world, however.

She could leave, of course, but she doesn’t know anything about the rest of the world, and she’s convinced she could never make it on her own. This is despite being one of two beings closest to godhood in the entire world.

Not many things could truly kill Life. Her body could die, sure, but if the proper conditions are met she reincarnates again. Her memories from her past life would be gone and she would be reborn as a child and a different person.

Humans are Life’s favorite creatures, she finds them fascinating and inspirational, and cunning and inventive. Since the beginning of time, Life has shown favor to the humans and protected them, and in turn they worship her as a goddess.
